Inflammation of the tonsils in children often causes high fever and sore throat. When the temperature exceeds 38.5°C, antipyretics such as ibuprofen and acetophen should be actively applied to bring the temperature down to normal. Tonsillitis is commonly caused by bacterial infections. If the high white blood cells in the blood test indicate bacterial infections, antibiotics should be applied, one of which can be preferred if there is no allergy to penicillin or cephalosporins. If you have not applied penicillin or cephalosporins, you can use erythromycin or something like that because it does not require a skin test. The course of tonsillitis is 5-7 days. When the temperature drops to normal, the treatment can be stopped after 2 days of stable body temperature.
