Sweating easily can be treated with medication as well as acupuncture. Medications: Commonly used medications include Yu Ping Feng San and Liu Wei Di Huang Wan. Yubingfeng San is used for treating the symptoms of superficial deficiency and spontaneous sweating (frequent and natural sweating due to the weakness of the muscle surface). Symptoms include sweating and bad wind, whitish color (white face with no luster), pale tongue with thin white moss, and floating pulse. It also treats the weakness of the coupling between the skin and the flesh (often refers to the skin’s inability to consolidate sweat, abnormal sweating on the surface of the body), and is susceptible to wind. If it belongs to external spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the daytime, aggravated by sweating with a little movement) or yin deficiency and night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and stopping sweating after waking up), it is not suitable to use Yupingfeng San. Liu Wei Di Huang Wan (六味地黄丸) is used for dizziness and tinnitus caused by kidney yin deficiency, lumbar and knee soreness (a feeling of soreness and weakness in the lumbar region and knees), bone vapor and tidal heat (a burst of heat, feeling that the heat is penetrating from the inside of the bones to the outside), and night sweating with spermatorrhea. Acupuncture treatment: commonly used acupoints are Foot Sanli, Hegu, Qihai, Guanyuan, etc., but the specific acupoints to be used need to be decided by the doctor according to the patient’s condition. Taking the above medicines needs to be guided by a doctor, and acupuncture needs to be operated by a professional doctor.
