How to use New Coronavirus Antigen Test Kit

The use of the New Coronavirus Antigen Test Kit mainly involves pre-operation preparation, sampling, antigen testing, result interpretation and waste disposal. 1. Pre-operational preparation: Before using the new coronavirus antigen test kit, you should clean your hands and check whether the package of the kit is intact, whether there is any damage, whether the reagent is expired and so on. 2. Sampling: Clean the nasal cavity on both sides, tilt the head back a little, hold the end of the nasal swab from one side of the nostril, then slowly move 1-1.5cm to the deep nasal cavity, rotate along the nasal cavity for 4-5 times; and then use the same nasal swab in the other side of the nasal cavity to repeat the same action. 3. Antigen test: Immediately after sampling, put the head end of the nasal swab into the sampling tube, stir the preserved liquid in the sampling tube for at least 30 seconds, then press on the outer wall of the sampling tube, squeeze out the liquid from the head of the swab, remove the nasal swab and put it aside temporarily. Cover the mouth of the sampling tube, drop the liquid in the sample port vertically onto the reagent card, and read the result after 15 minutes. 4. Interpretation of results: If there is a red or a purple stripe on the test card at C, and there is no display on T, it is negative; if there are red or purple stripes at both C and T, it is positive; if there is no stripe at C, and no matter whether there is a stripe at T or not, it is an invalid result. 5. Waste disposal: regardless of whether the test result is positive or negative, the swab, sampler and other test items should be put into an airtight bag and disposed of as medical waste.
