Protein powder is generally categorized into animal protein powder and plant protein powder. Most liver cancer patients consume protein powder in moderation, no matter which one is beneficial, but it is not recommended to drink protein powder for patients with liver cancer combined with hepatic encephalopathy. Most liver cancer patients are combined with liver cirrhosis, which will lead to the decrease of protein synthesis function in the body, and some patients will also lead to the decrease of albumin, the index of liver function, so liver cancer patients need to eat more high protein food, such as eggs, beef, fish and so on. Plant protein powder and animal protein powder are rich in protein, which can replenish the nutrients needed by the body for most liver cancer patients. It should be noted that if liver cancer is combined with hepatic encephalopathy and blood oxygen is elevated, protein intake should be controlled in this case, or else it will lead to aggravation of the condition, and coma may occur in serious cases. Therefore, protein powder is not recommended for patients with liver cancer combined with hepatic encephalopathy. Simply eating protein powder cannot treat liver cancer in a clinical sense. Treating and improving liver cancer requires comprehensive diagnosis and treatment, so patients are advised to seek medical treatment in time and actively cooperate with doctors.
