Survival rate of tongue cancer

The survival rate of tongue cancer among head and neck malignancies is not high, with a five-year survival rate of about 50% in general; cases with T1 will be high, and those with lymph node metastasis will be poor, perhaps even only 20%. It also has a lot to do with the location of tongue cancer, the survival rate is slightly higher in the abdomen of the tongue and slightly worse in other areas; female patients are worse than male patients, and tumor metastasis and the depth of tumor infiltration both seriously affect the five-year survival rate. Overall, the five-year survival rate of tongue cancer is not high.
