The symptoms of postoperative recurrence of tongue cancer are basically the same as the symptoms of initial tongue cancer. Ulcers, cauliflower-shaped lumps and pain are the main manifestations. Tongue cancer is a disease with high recurrence rate after surgery, so standardized postoperative care can play a more critical role in preventing recurrence. Postoperative patients should pay special attention to oral care, rinse mouth with saline or normal mouthwash three times a day, quit smoking and alcohol, and do not chew betel nut. Long-term outpatient follow-up, if there are new ulcers, painful or palpable swellings, and accompanied by weight loss, immediate outpatient consultation should be made.
