How to treat bone cancer in adults

Adult bone cancer is mainly treated by surgery, if surgery is not possible, it can be treated by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Bone cancer, i.e. malignant tumor of bone, is a malignant tumor originated from bone and cartilage, which will cause patients to suffer from local lumps, pain, dysfunction and other symptoms. When adults are diagnosed with bone cancer, they usually choose surgical treatment if their physical conditions and illnesses permit, and the cancerous part is usually removed by scraping, amputation or resection in the clinic. If the patient’s physical condition is poor or the condition is serious and surgery is not possible, then chemotherapy and radiotherapy are needed. Commonly used drugs for chemotherapy are methotrexate, cisplatin, etc. Meanwhile, radiation therapy can be used as well. As this disease is highly specialized, patients should go to regular hospitals in a timely manner to determine the specific treatment plan under the guidance of doctors and actively cooperate with the treatment to avoid deterioration of the condition.
