The main parameters observed on an oximeter are the oxygen saturation, pulse rate, perfusion index, and other indicators. The position of the parameters may be different in different machines.
1. Oxygen saturation: it is the most important index of oximeter, reflecting the proportion of red blood cells transporting oxygen in the blood, the normal range is 95% to 100%, if it is lower than 95%, it suggests hypoxia.
2. Pulse rate: under normal circumstances, the pulse rate is equal to the heart rate, the normal value of 60 to 100 beats / min, if the index is not in the normal range, it suggests that the heart rate is abnormal.
3. Blood perfusion index: reflecting the perfusion ability of blood flow, the normal range is between 4 and 5, if the blood perfusion index is lower than the normal value, it suggests that the peripheral circulation is under perfused.
If the value on the oximeter is abnormal, you should contact your doctor in time to find out the specific problem and treat it.
