Is it normal to have a blood pressure of 106/43 in the elderly?

Elderly people have a blood pressure of 106/43 mmHg, in which systolic blood pressure is normal and diastolic blood pressure is low, which is an abnormal blood pressure. It is mostly seen in the case of decreased elasticity of large arteries, aortic valve closure insufficiency, anemia and so on.
1. Decreased elasticity of large arteries: the blood vessels of elderly patients degenerate, especially the large arterial vessels become sclerotic, and the elasticity will be reduced, and the role of storing blood in the arterial vessels will be reduced, so the diastolic blood pressure will be reduced.
2. Aortic valve insufficiency: In patients with aortic valve insufficiency, during the diastolic phase of the heart, the amount of blood flowing back into the left ventricle increases, which leads to a decrease in diastolic blood pressure and an increase in the pulse pressure difference.
3. Anemia: Most common in acute hemorrhagic anemia, which can lead to a drop in blood volume and a decrease in diastolic blood pressure.
It is recommended that the patient go to the hospital for examination to clarify the condition, and the professional physician will give appropriate treatment for the condition.
