Sijunzi Tang is composed of Radix Codonopsis, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Poria, and Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, with the effect of benefiting qi and strengthening the spleen, it is used for patients with deficiency of qi in spleen and stomach, such as pale complexion, low voice, shortness of breath, and loose stools with scanty appetite (thinning of feces and no formation).
The adverse effects and contraindications of San Ren Tang and Si Jun Zi Tang are not clear.
