Bone metastasis symptoms of gastric cancer

After bone metastasis from gastric cancer occurs, the metastatic site will have skeletal pain symptoms. The pain is variable in duration and similar in nature to primary bone tumors.

Most of the advanced stages of gastric cancer will metastasize, and the metastatic pathways include hematogenous metastasis, direct infiltration, and implant metastasis.

If bone metastases occur in gastric cancer, patients may experience symptoms of spinal cord compression, mainly significant pain. Most patients present with localized pain, which is variable in duration and somewhat similar in nature to primary bone tumors. There will be intermittent and severe pain manifestations; there will also be localized soreness, gradual worsening or nighttime aggravation, and pain on pressure.

Gastric cancer should be treated aggressively. It can be treated by conservative treatment, surgery, or radiotherapy or targeted therapy depending on the time of onset, severity of the disease, and whether there are metastases to nearby organs or multiple organs.
