With chronic sinusitis, there will be nasal congestion, which can be persistent or intermittent, mucus discharge or mucopurulent discharge from the nasal cavity, nasal mucus flowing backward to the nasopharynx, head and facial discomfort, dizziness, headache, lack of concentration, poor sleep quality, and some patients also have decreased sense of smell and other symptoms, which seriously affect the quality of life and work of patients. According to anterior rhinoscopy and nasal endoscopy, the diagnosis can be confirmed in most cases based on the clinical manifestations of the patient. Sinus CT examination is also important, especially for the preoperative diagnosis of patients undergoing surgery, analysis of anatomical variation and evaluation of postoperative efficacy. The treatment of chronic sinusitis should take a comprehensive treatment, that is, drug therapy and surgical treatment, the lack of one is indispensable, drug therapy includes antibiotics, nasal or oral decongestants (such as furosemide nasal drops, etc.), antihistamines, glucocorticoids, and mucus promoter drug therapy for about half a month, if the effect is good, with nasal hormone therapy for 1 month and then observe the changes in the condition; if the effect is not good, you can switch to antibiotics If the effect is not good, perform sinus CT examination, consider surgery, and continue treatment with drugs after surgery.
