Pancreatic Cancer Signs of Discontinuation

Common symptoms of pancreatic cancer patients before death include: abdominal discomfort or abdominal pain, wasting and weakness, digestive symptoms, jaundice, delirium, coma and so on. Pancreatic cancer is a malignant tumor of the digestive tract with insidious onset, rapid progression, and extremely poor therapeutic effect and prognosis. Pre-terminal symptoms are related to the stage of disease, treatment, and basic condition of patients. There may be the following manifestations: 1. Abdominal discomfort or abdominal pain: most patients only show upper abdominal discomfort or vague pain, dull pain and distension. If there is also pancreatic duct obstruction, the pain or discomfort may be aggravated after eating. In the middle and late stages, the tumor invades the abdominal plexus, which may cause persistent severe abdominal pain. 2. Wasting and fatigue: most patients may have wasting, fatigue, weight loss and cachexia, which are related to lack of appetite, anxiety and tumor consumption. 3. Gastrointestinal symptoms: when the tumor blocks the lower end of common bile duct and pancreatic duct, bile and pancreatic fluid can not enter the duodenum, and dyspeptic symptoms often appear; while the damage of exocrine function of pancreas may lead to diarrhea; advanced pancreatic cancer invades the duodenum, which may lead to obstruction or bleeding in the digestive tract. 4. Jaundice: related to obstruction of biliary outlet, it is the most important clinical manifestation of pancreatic head cancer, which can be accompanied by skin itching, dark tea-colored urine and clay-like stool. 5. Other symptoms: some patients may be accompanied by persistent or intermittent low fever, abnormal blood sugar; some other patients may also have delirium, coma and so on. If pancreatic cancer is suspected or diagnosed, it is recommended to go to regular hospitals to evaluate the condition and follow the doctor’s instructions to cooperate with the treatment, in order to improve the prognosis of patients and prolong the survival period.
