How to tell if it’s pancreatic cancer pain or stomach pain

It is difficult to distinguish the pain caused by pancreatic cancer from stomach pain purely from the pain condition, and it is necessary to combine with auxiliary examination for comprehensive analysis. Pancreatic cancer is a malignant tumor lesion occurring in the pancreatic region, in the early stage of the lesion, the pain condition of the patient may not be particularly obvious, mostly after eating, inducing pain in the left upper abdomen and middle abdomen, mostly with dull pain, and the pain condition may be relieved by itself. As the lesion continues to develop, the degree of pain is gradually aggravated, and may evolve into a sharp pain situation, with prolonged pain duration and shorter intervals. Stomach pain is mainly caused by gastric lesions, common lesions include gastritis, gastric polyps, gastric mesenchymal tumors, gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, gastric cancer and so on. All of these lesions may cause stomach pain, and the pain may be different due to different conditions. In the case of gastritis lesions, for example, patients usually present with pain before meals, and after eating, the pain in the abdomen may be reduced. Therefore, it is difficult to distinguish between pain caused by pancreatic cancer lesions and stomach pain simply from the pain condition, and patients need to seek early medical treatment. The initial judgment of the condition is made through history taking. Then through abdominal ultrasound, gastroscopy, pathology and other examination items, comprehensive analysis to confirm the diagnosis of lesions, and then targeted treatment.
