The effects of umeboshi on the stomach

Umei is extremely acidic, which can pacify roundworms, relieve pain, harmonize the stomach and stop vomiting, and is mainly used to treat roundworms causing abdominal pain, vomiting, and ascariasis (cold extremities, even to the elbows and above the knees) of the roundworms.
Umei is the dried nearly ripe fruit of Plum, family Rosaceae, with sour flavor and flat nature, its effects are astringent to the lungs (astringent to the lung qi), astringent to the intestines, promoting the production of fluids, and tranquilizing roundworms. It is mainly used for the treatment of lung deficiency and prolonged cough, prolonged diarrhea and dysentery, deficiency heat and thirst, more than a leakage, blood in the stool, roundworm vomiting and abdominal pain and other diseases.
Umei can be used internally or externally, internally as a decoction; externally mashed or ground externally. However, it is not suitable for patients with external surface evil (evil on the surface of the muscle) and patients with internal solid heat and stagnation.
