What is a kidney nodule

Nodules in the kidney may be benign lesions or may be malignant lesions. CT plain scan plus enhancement scan of the kidney is recommended to further evaluate the nature of the nodules. Common diseases: 1. Malformations of the kidney, which can be located unilaterally or bilaterally, are shown to contain low-density fatty tissue with heterogeneous enhancement on CT examination. There are usually no obvious symptoms, but if the nodule is large, it may cause local compression, resulting in pain or bleeding in the kidney area. If the size of the nodule is less than 4 cm, it can be observed clinically. 2. Malignant tumors of the kidney can be seen as substantial homogeneous tumors under CT, and significant enhancement can be seen during enhancement. It can cause pain or hematuria and other symptoms in the kidney area, and requires radical nephrectomy surgery to achieve clinical cure. After surgery, targeted drug therapy or immunobiologic treatment is needed according to the pathological results of the section.
