For adrenal nodules, it is recommended to further investigate whether it is a functional adenoma. RAAS, aldosterone, 24-hour VMA, adrenal CT or enhanced CT can be performed to clarify the diagnosis. If the patient is a functional adrenal nodule, surgery is recommended after controlling blood pressure. If the patient is a non-functional nodule, it can be reviewed periodically, because adrenal nodules are most often primary aldosteronism, which can cause secondary hypertension. Especially in malignant hypertension, if not treated actively, patients can develop significant hypertension, causing hypertensive complications such as fundus retinopathy and cerebral hemorrhage. Bilateral renal vascular examination can be performed, etc., to exclude secondary hypertensive factors and actively treat the symptoms.
