What is Facial Rejuvenation

Facial rejuvenation is the use of one or more cosmetic surgery techniques to improve or delay facial aging and restore a youthful appearance to the human face. There are two main types of facial rejuvenation: surgical and non-surgical. Surgical treatment is a targeted surgical procedure that makes certain adjustments to the facial structure and lifts and tightens the soft tissues to restore a youthful appearance to the face. Non-surgical treatment is the treatment of facial aging problems such as fine wrinkles, skin laxity, pigmentation, hyperpigmentation, capillary dilation, etc. through some technique or device that targets the facial structures at a specific depth. The methods include physical therapy, chemotherapy, and biological therapy. Among them, physical therapy involves traditional mechanical grinding, laser, intense pulsed light, radio frequency, fractional laser, micro plasma radio frequency technology, etc. Chemical methods involve topical application of drugs and chemical peeling methods. Biological therapies mainly include botulinum toxin injections and injectable filler treatments, where injectable filler treatments include absorbable and non-absorbable filler treatments and fat fillers. Facial rejuvenation ultimately requires a surgical approach also known as wrinkle removal surgery to solve the problem. Facelift surgery has the advantage of long maintenance time as well as exact results, with the disadvantage of early scarring.
