Lecithinase injection treatment is a recently popular means of injectable lipolysis known as the Korean technique. A liquid drug in a 10 ml bottle is injected into the patient’s subcutaneous fat layer at separate sites. This drug is not labeled with its ingredients, but only claims to be a compound preparation containing nutrients, amino acids, enzymes and other active ingredients, also known as the “cocktail” formula, without the relevant national approval procedures. Some patients had subcutaneous nodules at the injection site after injection treatment, dark red erythema of the skin, obvious pain, surface ulceration, and a few lesions with secondary infections, but no systemic symptoms were seen. Injectable drug ingredients vaguely mentioned in the enzyme active ingredients, abbreviated as PPL, presumably may be phosphatidylcholine, also known as lecithin, is a surface-active substances, physiological state of the study found that can reconcile water molecules and fatty acid molecules, but no subcutaneous injections of can destroy the tissue cells cell wall, causing cell necrosis, may be the mechanism of its lipolytic effect. According to our patients who have received injections of this drug found that the injection concentration is higher, the destruction of serious cases will appear local subcutaneous thrombosis, fat necrosis and other manifestations, different from the general skin tissue infection manifestations. The occurrence of such cases should be noted and attracted the attention of the industry, and the candidates themselves should also be careful in their choice. Further reports need to continue to observe and wait for the results of experimental studies.
