The survival period of patients with gastric ring cell carcinoma is related to the clinical stage and treatment of the tumor. The natural course of the disease is 3-6 months, and early detection and timely treatment can prolong the survival period. Gastric ring cell carcinoma is a special pathological type of gastric cancer, which is called ring cell carcinoma because its tumor cells look like a ring under the microscope. Gastric ring cell carcinoma is more malignant and has a worse prognosis than squamous carcinoma and adenocarcinoma, with a natural course of 3-6 months. The natural course of the disease is 3-6 months, i.e., without intervention, the survival period is only 3-6 months. At present, the necessary surgical intervention and radiotherapy can extend the life span and improve the quality of life of patients. Patients with gastric ring cell carcinoma may have a certain chance of clinical cure after surgical resection if they are detected early enough without peripheral infiltration and distant metastasis.
