How can I get rid of melasma on my face

There is a lack of particularly effective treatment for chloasma on the face, and general treatment, topical drug treatment, systemic drug treatment, physical treatment and so on can be adopted.
1. General treatment: The onset of melasma is related to many factors, so it is necessary to actively search for the causes. For chloasma caused by ultraviolet rays, it is necessary to do a good job of sun protection and apply sunscreen when going out to reduce chloasma caused by sunlight; avoid taking drugs that cause hormone level changes or allergies; and have a regular work and rest schedule and reasonable diet.
2. Topical medicines:
(1) Hydroquinone and its glycoside derivatives: commonly used drugs are 2%~5% hydroquinone cream, generally the higher the concentration, the stronger the decolorizing effect, the greater the stimulation to the skin, so the use of the time should be from a small range of low concentration.
(2) Vitamin A acid: such as the commonly used 0.025%~0.1% vitamin A acid, which can affect the melanin metabolism, has a certain therapeutic effect, and if necessary, can be used in conjunction with hydroquinone, to enhance the effect of decolorization.
(3) Fruit acid: it is an auxiliary treatment for chloasma, which may produce adverse reactions such as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and should be used with caution in patients with dark skin color.
(3) Systemic medication: Vitamin C and vitamin E can be taken orally, in which vitamin C can play the role of inhibiting melanin synthesis, while vitamin E has strong anti-lipid peroxidation effect.
4. Physical therapy: such as laser, which has certain therapeutic effect on chloasma, but need to be alert to the adverse reactions such as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Chloasma patients are advised to consult doctors and choose the appropriate treatment under their guidance.
