Most of the chemotherapy drug extravasation through peripheral venous puncture, steel needles easily lead to chemotherapy drug extravasation, while indwelling needles are relatively good. Once the extravasation depends on the extent of extravasation, it needs to be treated with local closure of lidocaine, and magnesium sulfate wet compress or ice pack cold compress can be used to prevent the increase of extravasation, which requires suspension of chemotherapy and observation of local skin for redness, swelling or rupture. The main way to solve chemotherapy drug extravasation is to use a central venous line, such as CVC, PICC or infusion port, before chemotherapy, which is safer. Chemotherapy drugs can also produce other side effects, such as irritation and pain, and central venous lines are more effective.
