What’s wrong with vomiting and regurgitation?

Vomiting and regurgitation has more causes, the more common are caused by the early stage of pregnancy, acute gastroenteritis, gastroesophageal reflux disease and so on.

1. Early pregnancy: due to rapid changes in hormone levels and sensitivity to odors during pregnancy, a series of pregnancy reactions such as loss of appetite and morning sickness can occur.

2. Acute gastroenteritis: Food contaminated by bacteria, eating too fast or food that is too greasy will irritate the intestinal tract and cause nausea, vomiting and other symptoms, which may be the manifestation of acute gastroenteritis.

3. Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): GERD can cause gastric acid to reflux into the esophagus and throat, resulting in nausea, vomiting and regurgitation.

Vomiting and regurgitation can also be seen in superficial gastritis, duodenal ulcer, diabetes mellitus, etc. If necessary, go to the hospital to do the relevant examinations to make a clear diagnosis.
