High HDL cholesterol should first be determined whether it is a pathological condition, do not take medication or use prescriptions for dietary therapy.
Cholesterol is metabolized and transported in plasma in the form of lipoproteins, which are divided into HDL cholesterol and LDL cholesterol according to their density. The level of HDL cholesterol is negatively correlated with the risk of developing atherosclerosis, with higher levels suggesting a lower risk of coronary heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases.
According to the 9th edition of Diagnostics, the appropriate level of HDL is >l.04mmol/L, and <1.0mmol/L is considered to be reduced. Therefore, excluding disease factors, physiologic elevation of HDL cholesterol is cardiovascular protective and does not require medication or deliberate dietary treatment, but only the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle and diet.
Elevated HDL cholesterol can also be seen in chronic hepatitis, hereditary HDL anemia, cholestatic cholangitis and other diseases. Elevated HDL cholesterol caused by other systemic diseases should be treated in a timely manner in a regular medical institution, do not take medication or use prescriptions for dietary treatment without authorization, in order to avoid delaying the condition.
