What’s with the tingling in your ears?

Ear numbness is related to prolonged auricular compression, poor blood circulation in the auricle, peripheral neuritis and other causes.
1. Prolonged auricle extrusion: long time compression of one ear during sleep or long time ear extrusion can cause local ischemia of the auricle and lead to ear numbness and crispness. Symptoms can disappear on their own after the external force is eliminated.
2. Poor blood circulation in the auricle: When located in an environment with low temperature for a long time, the human body will be cold, resulting in a decrease in peripheral blood circulation causing a decrease in blood circulation in the auricle, triggering symptoms of numbness and shortness of breath in the ear. When entering a warmer environment, the symptoms of ear numbness can be restored after the blood circulation is restored.
3. Peripheral neuritis: diabetic patients or patients with herpes zoster virus infection, can be caused by disease-causing factors stimulating the peripheral nerves in the neck damaged, affecting the nerve conduction function triggered by the symptoms of numbness in the ears.
There may be other causes of ear numbness, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner, to determine the cause of the disease, and then follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
