The pathology report of the lightest renal cancer should be decided according to the pathologic type, histologic grading and TNM staging, such as clear cell carcinoma T1N0M0, WHO/ISUP grade I is relatively light. 1. Pathologic type: although renal clear cell carcinoma is the most common, accounting for 70%~80% of renal cell carcinomas, smoky renal cell carcinoma is the least malignant and has the best prognosis among the renal carcinoma pathologic types, followed by renal clear cell carcinoma, which is also among the types with better prognosis. 2. Histologic grading: histologic grading is the score of malignancy degree, which is an important prognostic correlation factor, and only applies to clear cell renal cell carcinoma and papillary renal cell carcinoma, which is classified into grades 1~4 by WHO/ISUP, and the higher the grade, the worse the prognosis. 3. TNM staging: For patients with T1 stage, the prognosis is the best, and most of the patients can achieve radical cure after surgery; if local recurrence and distant metastasis occur, the prognosis is poorer at this time. Pathology report will also show indicators such as sarcomatoid differentiation and intravascular cancer embolism, and the general principle is that the less these indicators are, the better the prognosis is.
