How is bird flu transmitted?

The main means of transmission of avian influenza is through the respiratory tract and close contact. Avian influenza is mainly contracted when a person comes into contact with poultry, such as chickens, ducks, geese, etc., that have avian influenza or are carrying the avian influenza virus. Among the population is universally susceptible, with the onset of disease in children under 12 years of age easily becoming severe. Among the high-risk groups, those who are suspected to have been in close contact with poultry that have died of unexplained illness or are suspected to be infected with avian influenza viruses are called high-risk groups. The incubation period of avian influenza is usually about 7 days, usually 2-4 days, and the clinical manifestations are mainly symptoms of infection of the upper respiratory tract, similar to the common flu-like manifestations, mainly fever temperature of 39 ℃, which can be accompanied by nasal congestion, runny nose, cough, sore throat, headache, muscle aches and pains, as well as general malaise and other symptoms.
