Jaw is the common name for the lower jaw, and lumps hardening on the sides of the jaw may be present in the form of enlarged lymph nodes, fibroids, and sebaceous cysts.
1. Enlarged lymph nodes: Lymph nodes are an integral part of the body’s immune system and are found throughout the body, connected to each other by lymphatic vessels. They are connected to each other through lymphatic vessels. Their main roles are to filter lymph, remove bacteria and foreign bodies, and produce lymphocytes and antibodies.
The lymph nodes of the jaw are connected to the lymph nodes of the oral cavity, the pharynx, and the anterior neck region, which may lead to lymphadenitis of the lymph nodes of the jaw if the patient suffers from inflammatory lesions in the above mentioned tissues and organs. Patients present with localized lymph node enlargement, pain, and elevated body temperature.
2. Fibroma: the cause of the disease is related to the abnormal proliferation of fibrous connective tissues, after the onset of the disease, there may be local hard lumps with clear boundaries, which can be pushed, and there may be pain when pressed.
3. Sebaceous cysts: The lesions are benign due to the blockage of sebaceous gland openings. After squeezing the lumps, white tofu-like material may appear.
