How can gallbladder polyps be eliminated

Gallbladder polyps are polyp-like lesions originating from the wall of the gallbladder. Most patients have no obvious conscious symptoms, but a few patients may experience pain in the right upper abdomen, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and other symptoms. Usually, for polyps with no obvious symptoms, small size, no tendency of enlargement or signs of deterioration, no treatment is needed, and there is no special medicine for treatment, so dietary attention to reduce the intake of high-fat and high-cholesterol foods, regular review and follow-up observation is sufficient. For patients with more obvious symptoms, affecting the quality of life, combined with other underlying diseases or at risk of cancer, surgical treatment can be chosen to remove them. Surgical treatment is based on removal of the gallbladder. The former is suitable for patients with polyps ≤10mm in diameter, and the advantages of this method are less trauma, faster postoperative recovery and fewer complications. The latter is suitable for patients with lesion diameter ≥20mm or preoperative high suspicion of malignant tumor tendency. After gallbladder resection, the gallbladder is quickly sent for frozen section or routine postoperative pathology examination, and if it is diagnosed as gallbladder cancer, radical gallbladder cancer surgery is required. After surgery, patients should pay attention to wound care, diet should limit the intake of high cholesterol, ensure the intake of protein, vitamins and other nutritional elements, and develop good sleeping habits and appropriate amount of exercise, pay attention to condition monitoring in life, and it is generally recommended to review 2-3 months after surgery.
