The lump in the earlobe may be caused by the following two reasons: 1. After the earlobe is pierced, the metal or plastic material stimulates the wound for a long time due to the long-term wearing of earrings, resulting in local chronic sterile inflammation, which can lead to hard nodules over time. 2. Superficial subcutaneous swellings in the earlobe, most commonly local sebaceous cysts, blockage of the sebaceous glands, chronic inflammatory reactions from the production of an envelope that encapsulates some powdery inflammatory material. The chronic inflammatory reaction from the production of a layer of envelope wrapped inside some powdered inflammatory material. The inflammation can also be triggered by eating foods that are easily inflamed or staying up all night, and localized redness, swelling, and pain can occur. The diagnosis can be basically confirmed by taking a local ultrasound.
