What are the causes of diabetic foot rot?

The legs and feet do not work, the trouble does not stop. But for the majority of diabetics, “easy to rotten legs” is like a knife hanging overhead, let people worried. Diabetic patients are prone to rotten legs, the key in two points. The diabetic foot is a comprehensive and serious complication caused by the long-term damage to blood vessels and nerves after high blood sugar. It can lead to different degrees of infection, ulceration and gangrene of the foot, which is one of the common complications of diabetes. Firstly, nerve damage, loss of sensation in the foot and easy to get small wounds. Long-term hyperglycemia can cause damage to nerve cells, which cannot sense harmful stimuli in the feet and cannot make corresponding actions in time to avoid risk factors. Many diabetic patients respond that they often feel as light as stepping on a cloud. Even if they do step on something, hurt their feet or get a blister, they do not even know it. Afterwards, the foot may develop open, ulcerative wounds. Second, vascular damage, foot skin ischemia, immunity is reduced. Long-term hyperglycemia will damage the blood vessels of the whole body, and the many capillaries in the skin will not escape, which will lead to insufficient blood supply to the skin, especially the blood vessels of the lower limbs away from the heart. Once the blood supply to the skin is insufficient, the immunity of the skin itself will be reduced, and it will not be able to balance the germs on the surface of the skin, as well as the germs that invade the skin’s tiny wounds, which will lead to infections. To add insult to injury, diabetic patients have higher concentrations of sugar in their body fluids, providing ample nutrients for pathogens, which can make the infection more severe and difficult to heal, and over time, open ulcers can form. Therefore, once a diabetic patient develops diabetic foot symptoms, he or she must be treated promptly. In addition, after all, the treatment of diabetic foot itself is very complex, it is recommended that you go to MDT multidisciplinary joint treatment center to receive treatment, so that the treatment is more comprehensive, the effect is guaranteed.
