The anointing point is located on the back, under the spinous process of the 4th thoracic vertebra, 3 inches away from the posterior midline. When taking the point, let the patient sit flat on the bed, bend the knees against the chest, forearms crossed, hands on the knees, head down, face against the back of the hand, so that the two shoulder blades fully open, in the flat fourth thoracic vertebrae under the spinous processes of the scapula, the medial edge of the scapula at the bone seam, feel the chest between the ribs trapped in the pain, to the arm, that is, the anointing of the vital point.
