Early stage pancreatic cancer may be clinically cured through surgical treatment, but usually there is still a possibility of recurrence or new metastasis; in addition, early stage pancreatic cancer is more rare. Pancreatic cancer is a malignant tumor that occurs in the epithelium of pancreatic ducts and follicular cells. Early symptoms are usually not obvious, and as the disease progresses, there may be symptoms such as loss of appetite, abdominal pain, diarrhea, fatigue, weight loss, and so on. Early pancreatic cancer can be cured through surgical treatment such as pancreatic cancer eradication, but advanced pancreatic cancer has a poorer prognosis and a shorter survival time. Early detection of pancreatic cancer, if untreated, is prone to metastasis, which includes direct spread, blood line metastasis, lymphatic metastasis and metastasis along the nerve sheath. Clinical data show that pancreatic cancer patients are usually diagnosed in middle or late stage, with poor prognosis; the average survival time of pancreatic cancer is less than 1 year after symptoms appear, and the survival time of untreated patients is about 4 months; if the patients take eradication surgery, the 5-year survival rate is 10%~25%. If diagnosed with early pancreatic cancer, patients should actively cooperate with doctors for treatment in time, which can improve the cure rate.
