A broken cornea is a penetrating corneal injury, often accompanied by intraocular damage or detachment along the tissues, and is more commonly classified as simple or complex. Simple wounds are smaller and more regular, often closing on their own without iris entrapment. Complex wounds are larger and more irregular, often with iris prolapse, pupil distortion, and an appearance that reveals a foreign body-like presence on the black eye, often accompanied by significant vision loss or loss. In terms of treatment, surgical treatment is performed, mainly suturing, but also anti-inflammatory, and it depends on the extent of the damage to the tears whether a crystal removal or vitrectomy is required.
