What are the indicators for the release of measles patients from isolation

The indicators for the release of measles patients from isolation mainly depend on the duration of the disease and the absence of complications. If there are no complications, measles patients need to be isolated until 5 days after the rash; if there is a combination of bronchopneumonia, they need to be isolated until 10 days after the rash, which is generally not contagious after the isolation period. For measles patients, there are three main phases: the prodromal phase, the rash phase and the recovery phase. In the prodromal phase, the main clinical symptoms are upper respiratory symptoms, accompanied by fever, cough, runny nose, and conjunctival congestion; then the rash enters the emergence phase, where the rash appears in the order of the head and face, trunk, extremities, and palms and feet; finally, the rash enters the remission phase, after which the child’s clinical symptoms improve significantly.
