Measles is a highly contagious rash respiratory infection caused by measles virus with fever, runny nose, combined with membranitis, cough, measles mucous membrane spots and generalized maculopapular rash, which is characterized clinically by bran-like flaking after the rash recedes and leaves brown pigmentation. Patients with measles are the only source of infection. It is contagious from the end of the incubation period of 2-3 days to 5 days after the appearance of the rash. It is very contagious.
