Persistent fever is very different from intermittent fever. Persistent fever is caused by severe infections, such as bacterial infections or viral infections. In the current severe outbreak, severe coronavirus infectious pneumonia may present with persistent fever, such as temperature over 38.5℃ for more than 2-3 days, which can be called persistent fever. This situation needs to actively improve the blood routine and inflammatory markers, pathogenicity examination for clarification, if necessary, need to be full dose, full course of treatment with broad-spectrum antibiotics. Intermittent fever is seen in common infections such as chronic tonsillitis and pneumonia. If the fever is only intermittent, antiviral or antibacterial drugs can be used according to the results, and tuberculosis investigations should be completed if necessary.
