Can a CT of the lungs be taken to the heart?

Pulmonary CT can be used to examine the heart. The size of the heart, the size and shape of each atrium, and whether there is fluid in the pericardium can be seen on the pulmonary CT. However, in clinical practice, CT of the lungs is mainly used to examine bronchial tubes, lung inflammation, tuberculosis, and to exclude lung tumors, such as lung cancer, pleural effusion, pneumothorax, etc. It is not mainly used to examine the heart. The heart can be checked by ultrasound to understand the heart valves and their structural function, the aortic root, and the size of each atrium. In case of coronary artery disease, coronary angiography and coronary angiography can be done; in case of ventricular disease, ventriculography, cardiac MRI and PET-CT can be done to check the heart.
