How to Determine Ascariasis

The judgment of ascariasis can be made by history, manifestation and auxiliary examination.
1. History: patients with ascariasis often have a history of contact with contaminated soil, such as farm labor, or a history of eating unclean diets, such as melons and fruits with live eggs.
2. Performance: intestinal ascariasis can have abdominal pain, pressure pain around the umbilicus and other manifestations; ascaris migrans can have low fever, cough or asthma-like attacks and other manifestations; ascaris allergy can be due to ascaris metabolites can cause allergies to the host, manifested as asthma, urticaria, conjunctivitis and so on.
3. Auxiliary examination: leukocytosis and eosinophilia can be seen when accompanied by infection. Fecal smear and saturated saline floating method can detect eggs.
