In severe cases of gas poisoning, the death rate is high, and after active treatment, there may be sequelae, mainly including: dementia, rigidity and other mental consciousness disorders; expression indifference, limb tension enhancement, static tremor, etc.; hemiparesis, positive pathological reflexes; aphasia, blindness, inability to stand, etc. A small number of patients with gas poisoning may suffer from unconsciousness, aphasia, epilepsy and other symptoms, and a few patients may develop delayed encephalopathy 2-3 weeks after poisoning. A small number of gas poisoning patients in the recovery of consciousness disorders, can experience 2 ~ 3 weeks of “false healing period”, after which delayed encephalopathy, mainly manifested as dementia, mental anomalies and so on. Once gas poisoning is detected, medical treatment should be sought as soon as possible, and attention should be paid to the occurrence of complications such as delayed encephalopathy.
