What are the symptoms of cervical spondylosis and how to treat them

Symptoms of cervical spondylosis include limited movement of cervical vertebrae, neck pain and stiffness, numbness and weakness of upper limbs, and vegetative nerve disorders. According to different symptoms, different treatments will be adopted: general treatment, medication, physiotherapy, surgery, and so on. 1. Restriction of cervical spine activities: Physiotherapy, such as massage, acupuncture, physiotherapy, and localized hot packs are mainly used to relieve muscle tension and restore the range of cervical spine activities, while surgery should be considered for serious cases. 2. Neck pain and stiffness: for a single pain or soreness in the back of the neck, most patients can be relieved through rest and physical therapy; if the pain continues to be unrelieved, oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as diclofenac sodium delayed-release tablets under the guidance of a doctor, assisted by massage, hot compresses, physical therapy and other treatments, can be significantly relieved. 3. Numbness and weakness of the upper limbs: for patients with short and not serious numbness symptoms, conservative treatment such as rest, traction, acupuncture, heat therapy and other conservative treatments can be considered to alleviate the symptoms; conservative treatment is ineffective, and the symptoms are more serious can be considered for surgical treatment, to relieve the nerve compression. 4. Vegetative nerve disorders: dizziness, blurred vision, blurred or unclear vision, tinnitus, nausea, palpitations, chest tightness, shortness of breath and other symptoms, when the symptoms are mild, take physiotherapy, hot compresses, baking, acupuncture, drugs and other ways to conservative treatment. If conservative treatment is ineffective, surgery will be performed to remove the discs and relieve the pressure on the sympathetic ganglia of the cervical spinal cord to alleviate the symptoms. After suffering from cervical spondylosis, if the symptoms are not relieved after lifestyle modification, one should consult a doctor in time to clarify the cause of the disease and carry out treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
