Cervical MRI can examine the following diseases: 1. Cervical spondylosis. Cervical spondylosis is a degeneration of the cervical spine, such as herniated cervical and shoulder discs, osteophytes and resulting in some symptoms in the neck, such as numbness and weakness of the limbs and paralysis of the extremities. The cervical spine MRI can clearly show the degree of cervical disc herniation and cervical spinal stenosis. 2. Another important function of cervical spine MRI is to check for tumors in the cervical spinal cord or occupations in the spinal canal. The MRI of the cervical spine can be used to diagnose tumors in the cervical spinal cord and to diagnose the size and location of the tumor. 3. The MRI of the cervical spine is also useful for diagnosing cervical spinal cord contusions caused by trauma and for observing the extent of spinal cord injury and recovery.
