Restenosis is inevitable in some patients after interventional treatment, but we cannot accurately predict who will experience restenosis before the procedure. So, once restenosis has occurred, is there any way to treat it? The answer is yes. For restenosis that causes clinical symptoms (i.e., angina or myocardial infarction), there are also ways to manage it: ① Re-balloon dilation, usually using high-pressure balloon dilation techniques or cutting balloons. (ii) Re-stenting, in which a stent is reinserted into the stent. ③ The use of plaque removal. ④ Endovascular irradiation. ⑤ Surgical bypass surgery. Currently, the 3rd and 4th methods are rarely applied.
