On March 20, 2015 Baicheng Central Hospital Neurology successfully carried out one case of percutaneous puncture cerebral angiography and one case of carotid arterioplasty and stenting under the help and guidance of Prof. Wang Shouchun, master’s supervisor of the First Hospital of Jilin University. Endovascular intervention is a new technique for the treatment of atherosclerotic stenosis in recent years. Angioplasty and stenting is a procedure in which a balloon is used to dilate the stenotic vessel and then a mesh metal stent is permanently inserted into the stenotic artery. Stenting in stenotic arteries can reduce the shedding of endothelial plaques at the stenosis site, improve the hypoperfusion state of brain tissue caused by stenosis, and prevent further aggravation of stenosis. Angioplasty and stenting has become a new option for the treatment of cerebrovascular diseases such as cerebral artery stenosis because it is less invasive, generally does not require general anesthesia, and has fewer complications. The development of this technology marks a qualitative leap in the treatment of cerebrovascular diseases in the Department of Neurology in the Bai Cheng area, and fills the gap in the Bai Cheng area. The people of Baicheng can enjoy the latest domestic treatment technology at their doorstep. Du Quanyue, Department of Neurology, Baicheng Central Hospital
