Don’t worry after your eyelashes have fallen out, they can still grow back. Just like hair, eyelashes are in a phase of renewal and metabolism. Some people have long eyelashes, like inverted eyelashes, and sometimes they are plucked out, but they grow back afterwards. Generally speaking, eyelashes will fall off on their own and grow back in 3-5 months. Eyelashes that have been plucked will grow back out of the skin after a week, growing 1-2mm per week, and will reach their original length in about 10 weeks, or 2-3 months. That’s why many patients who have their eyelashes removed in the outpatient clinic come back to the hospital to have their lashes removed again in 2-3 months. After growing to its original length, it usually lasts for five months, after which it falls off again and the renewal process is repeated.
