Abdominal distension may be a stomach problem, an intestinal problem, or a liver and gallbladder problem.
1. Stomach problems: If there are gastric ulcer, acute and chronic gastritis, acute gastric dilatation, pyloric obstruction, stomach tumors and other diseases that lead to abdominal distension, it is considered to be a problem of the stomach, due to the fact that these diseases may lead to a decrease in the digestive capacity of the stomach, food stays in the stomach for too long, and it will ferment and produce gas, which will lead to the symptoms of abdominal distension.
2. Intestinal problems: if there are acute and chronic enteritis, intestinal obstruction, ulcerative colitis, intestinal tuberculosis, intestinal tumors and other diseases that lead to flatulence, it is considered to be intestinal problems, these diseases may lead to intestinal peristalsis, intestinal luminal blockage, and intestinal gases can’t be discharged normally, thus resulting in abdominal distension.
3. Problems of the liver and gallbladder: when there are chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, liver abscess, pancreatitis, pancreatic cysts and other diseases, bloating may also occur.
Bloating may also be caused by other reasons. If discomfort occurs, it is recommended to go to the hospital as soon as possible and give relevant measures with the help of the doctor.
