How to operate insulin injection

Subcutaneous injection of insulin is an effective method for diabetic patients to control blood glucose, but the method of insulin use needs to be under the guidance of a doctor. Subcutaneous injection of insulin mainly includes preparation, site selection, sterilization and injection and other operational steps.
Specific operation procedures: adjust the insulin dose and disinfect the skin, the injection site can be selected in the abdomen, outer thighs and upper arms, the most commonly used is the abdomen; pinch the skin to enter the needle, injected into the subcutaneous instead of the muscle; push the drug, keep your thumb on the injection button do not lift and make the needle stay in the subcutaneous for 10 seconds, insulin dosage needs to be left for more than 10 seconds. After the needle is withdrawn, a dry cotton swab can be used to press the eye of the needle for more than 30 seconds.
Patients are advised to inject insulin under medical supervision.
