Ten Consensus of the International Psoriasis Association

  1.Psoriasis is an immune-mediated disease; 2.Psoriasis can affect any race, age and gender in the world, with slightly more female patients than male; 3.Psoriasis is not contagious; 4.The degree of psoriasis varies greatly, the skin lesions can be dry and bleeding, there can be continuous itching, but there is no physical pain, and it does not make the body weak; 5.There are many symptomatic treatment methods, but none of them is effective for everyone effective for everyone, much less a cure; 6. Some treatments can cause serious side effects and the cost of treatment is great, making patients’ quality of life lower; 7. Psoriasis has a natural cycle, sometimes alleviating and sometimes aggravating; 8. Psoriasis patients have strong emotional reactions, such as distress, anger and depression; 9. Psoriasis patients are rejected and belittled by some people because they suffer from this disease; 10. Doctors need to help and educate psoriasis patients to face the reality so that they can learn and understand psoriasis as much as possible .  Meanwhile, the conference also established October 29 as World Psoriasis Day every year.
