Is papillary thyroid cancer follicular type serious?

Follicular subtype of papillary thyroid carcinoma is less malignant among all types of thyroid cancer pathologic staging, and it is a clinical tumor with a curative prognosis. Follicular subtype of papillary thyroid cancer has a relatively low malignant degree and is an inert tumor. For early stage follicular subtype of papillary thyroid cancer, if there is no infiltrative change and metastasis, simple lobectomy is usually sufficient, but if metastasis has already occurred, in addition to thyroidectomy, cervical lymph node dissection is also needed. If papillary thyroid cancer follicular subtype is detected, diagnosed and treated early, most of early papillary thyroid cancer follicular subtype patients can be cured by radical surgical resection, and the survival rate is very high. Regular review is needed after surgery to detect recurrence as early as possible.
