Prostate cancer is one of the more common malignancies of the urinary tract, and its incidence is increasing every year. The first of these is a new one, and the second is a new one. The presence of liver metastases in prostate cancer may indicate a poor prognosis for the patient.
In the early stages of liver metastasis, if the prostate cancer does not significantly invade the surrounding tissues and organs, if there are no metastatic lesions elsewhere in the body, if the size of the liver metastases is relatively small, and if the patient has a long life expectancy, then it may be best to undergo surgery to completely remove the prostate cancer and liver metastases.
If a patient has liver metastases along with metastases from multiple organs, surgery may not be possible.
Some patients may be best treated with hepatic vascular embolization if the liver metastases from prostate cancer are large, have a serious impact on liver function or severely compress surrounding tissues and organs, or even rupture and bleed from the liver metastases.
